A companion piece, perhaps, wittily entitled “Scrotal Circumference”, tobacco and armchair -1998, is the remains of a burned upholstered chair in which a bunch of wrinkled tobacco leaves have been arranged in more or less the shape of a cone.
Other creations involve furniture and boxes of balsa wood. One, called “A Theoretical Parade”, cigarettes, thread and balsa wood-1998, consists of many cigarettes with cork tips arranged symmetrically in an oblong box, laced over with fine threads. It makes a handsome abstract image.
