The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award given in Girl Scouting. Earning this recognition provides a Senior Girl Scout the opportunity to cap her years of achievement in Girl Scouting by making a commitment to herself and her community.
The requirements for the Gold Award involve a combination of interest, leadership, career exploration and service projects. Each girl must also demonstrate her ability and skill in goal-setting, planning, putting values into action and relating to the community. Completing the Gold Award takes approximately two to three years.
