Rappahannock News Staff Writer
The Rappahannock High School boys soccer team opened their season with an impressive win over Stonewall on Monday afternoon. The Panther offense scored eight goals while the defense held Stonewall to three.
Mike Letsen led the way on offense with three goals. The Panther offense demonstrated a real ability to play together as a team and were able to keep the ball in Stonewall’s territory for most of the game.
The Panther defense was anchored by new goal tender Chris Sause. Sause made a number of nice saves, most notably a diving block of a Stonewall penalty kick late in the game.
