Clinton A.C.T.I.O.N. (Activate Congress To Improve Our Nation) Committee is sponsoring a speech by John McManus on the impeachment of President Clinton. McManus claims, “The impeachment process wasn’t placed in the U.S. Constitution to be a mere decoration.”
The Founding Fathers believed that no one — not even a president — should be above the law or be permitted to operate outside the law. They deemed impeachment by the House, trial by the Senate, and removal from office upon conviction to be the proper remedy for any high government official who is guilty of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
