The award was presented by RCES teacher Jenny Stanley and John Tole, Tole’s son, who is chairman of the school board. In a moving tribute, Robinson’s classmates stood to applaud him when it was announced that he had been chosen as the award recipient.
Achievement awards were also presented to students at RCES for the end of the school year. The following received an award for an all “A” average for the year:
7th Grade: Jonathan Robinson, Kerry Grigsby, Ralph Pace, Kori Alexander, Allyson Dodson, Rachel Sharp, Joshua Anderson, Michael Fairbrother, Dawn Andreoni, Alyssa Berry, Elaine Smith, Tony Starks and Krystal Heflin.
