ing to the skaters and communicating the needs of the church. The people at Eileen Day’s, the Clopton House and The Inn have also been kind in their tolerance of the noise, movement and chaos that attends skating.

I also appreciate that the Recreation Authority has acted to help out the situation.

Hopefully, soon, cars and kids will not be competing for the same space.

The new multi-purpose surface can be used by preschoolers learning to ride bikes as well as BMXer’s, inline skaters and skate boarders.

And I’m proud of Rappahannock’s young people who attended the Recreation Board meetings with ah idea and are learning what’s involved with making it real. The young people have already raised $300 through the Creative Community Youth Council.
