Prior to winning his candidacy, Brooks was executive director of the Fair Housing Council of Northern Virginia; he most recently worked as a U.S. Department of Justice trial attorney; he is a fourth-generation ordained minister associated with the Turner AME Church. Brooks welcomes the opportunity to meet Rappahannock County citizens at any of his stops during the day and to enjoy their company at the festivities at the Bethel Church that evening.
