The Rappahannock
Recreation Authority has approved a new addition to the county’s recreation center — a multi-purpose asphalt surface that can be used for skate boarding, rollerblading and bicycling. Our goal is to raise $4,000 this summer. There will be jars throughout the county where people can make donations. Tax deductible contributions can also be sent to the Rappahannock County Recreational Facilities Authority (RCRFA), P.O. Box 519, Washington, Va., 22747, earmarked for the Skatepark.
As a parent of skate boarders, I wish to thank Trinity Episcopal Church for their generosity in letting their parking lot be used by the young people who have had no other space for their sport.
