At about 5 p.m,, Brooks, a Yale Law School graduate, and former managing editor of the Yale Law School Journal, will visit with folks at Mountainside Market in Sperryville who take advantage of the health food store’s “Thirsty Thursday” pizza specials.
The day’s tour will end with a gathering at the Bethel Baptist Church, about a quarter of a mile past Hackley’s Store, on Route 642 (Viewtown Road), beginning at 7 p.m. The church, pastored by Rev. Forrest Freeman, is going to celebrate Brooks’ visit with gospel singing and light homemade refreshments.
