Baby Daniel was bom by emergency C-section at Fairfax Hospital. After he was stabilized he was moved to Potomac so that his family could more easily visit him. Doctors who work at both hospitals are monitoring the baby closely.

“We’re asking people to donate if they can and to say prayers for Daniel,” Baldwin said. “We appreciate any and all donations.” Baldwin said Baby Daniel will need three operations just to fix his heart but will first have to gain enough weight to enable the doctors to do the first surgery — to cut and sew the valves together. That will help to reduce his blood pressure.

“It’s so hard for him to breathe,” Baldwin said. “He wears himself out just trying to breathe — he breathes so rapidly. We can’t pick him up or hold him because it’s too stressful for his heart.”
