Cornell Brooks, Democratic candidate for Congress, will visit Rappahannock County on Thursday, July 9. Brooks, who is challenging 18-year incumbent Frank Wolf (R), is planning a full itinerary of stops throughout Rappahannock on what will be his fifth visit here since announcing his candidacy.
At 11:30 a.m. Brooks will spend about a half-hour at Hackley’s Store in Amissville, meeting locals at the historic grocery store. At about 12:15 p.m., the candidate will enjoy lunch with Rappahannock supporters at the Country Cafe in Washington, Va. After touring some of the work places in the county, at 3:30 p.m., he’ll pay a visit to the Child Care and Learning Center.
