He was ready. He came with maps. He came with lists of requests. And, he came with answers.
VDOT District Resident Engineer Bob Moore and the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors again faced a room full of county residents concerned with the county’s Six Year Secondary Road Plan at the annual public hearing on the plan held Monday.
Moore had a prepared list of requests he received from county residents of roads they would like added to the plan this year. They included: Route 615 from Route 617 to 0.8 miles east of Route 617; Route 600 from route 653 to 0.5 miles east of Route 653; Route 622 from 1 mile west of Route 625 to 1.5 miles west of Route 625; Route 707 from the Route 604 south intersection to Route 604; Route 657 from Route 664 to the end of state maintenance; and that Lost Acres Lane (a private road) be brought into the secondary system. There were also requests for VDOT to install concrete end walls at various locations on existing large pipe lines at flood areas.
