Estate planning seminar set

An estate planning seminar conducted by Attorney William Truban and sponsored by Rappahannock Farmers Association will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The seminar will be held at the Rappahannock County Elementary School Library. Benefit dinner scheduled

A ham and turkey dinner sponsored by the Amissville Fire and Rescue Squad will be served Saturday, Nov. 14 at the fire hall. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner will include vegetables, applesauce, bread and dessert as well as coffee, tea and milk.

RLEP meeting planned

The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will hold its annual meeting at the Washington fire hall on Nov. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served, informative displays will be on view, and interesting presentations are scheduled.

Wine tasting scheduled

Sharp Rock Vintage Winery located on Route 231 toward Madison will be hosting wine tastings and sales on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 12 to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Watch for signs. For information call 987-9700.

Civil War author's weekend set

Gray Ghost Vineyards is pleased to announce a Civil War author’s weekend to be held at the winery in Amissville. The event will take place, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Authors will be selling and autographing their books on various Civil War topics. Admission is free. Services Board to meet

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10 beginning at 1 p.m. at its Bradford Road office in Culpeper. RAA Board to meet

There will be a board meeting of the Rappahannock Athletic Association at the Washington Baptist Church on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. All coaches are welcome.
