donation will buy one of the 200 tickets being sold for the cash drawings on Dec. 18 during the boy’s varsity basketball game. First prize is $1,000; second prize is $750 and third prize is $20. Tickets may be purchased at home games or from any booster member. You do not need to be present to win.
November is here which means Thanksgiving and Christmas can’t be far off. Before we get too caught up in the food and the shopping, let’s take a moment and give thanks for what we have that we didn’t have to purchase.
If you would like to plan ahead, the Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at Amissville Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. There will be choirs and preachers from area churches participating. Everyone is welcome.
