Correction
In last week’s story on the juvenile escapee, it was Trooper Charlie Crummett of Fauquier who stopped the car driven by the juvenile and who handcuffed and seat belted him into the state police car. Crummett stopped the car for traffic violations at about 10:30 a.m. While he was searching the juvenile’s car the youth managed to get the seat belt undone and flee the scene on foot. Crummett called for back up after discovering that, not before. A helicopter and canine unit were dispatched by the state police to aid in the search. The Rappahannock News regrets the error.
