Fletcher.
Elder Fletcher was employed by the Riverton Lime Plant for a number of years. He was also a farm laborer during his employment years.
As a young adult, he became a member of the First Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church and was shortly afterwards called to the ministry. He was pastor of First Bethlehem Church of Harris Hollow and Sandy Hook Church of Huntly.
He was united in holy matrimony for 60 years to Jessie Dennis Fletcher. She predeceased him Dec. 11, 1995. He was also predeceased by his oldest son, Aaron John Fletcher.
He is survived by three sons, McKinley Fletcher and Nathan Edward Fletcher, both of Washington and Milton Fletcher of Fairfax; three grandsons; one granddaughter and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at W.C. Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
Kate Peterson
Volunteer
L. Kate Peterson, 90, of Rappahannock died on Oct. 29 at Overlook Care Center in Warrenton.
Mrs. Peterson was bom in Russell County, Va. on June 15, 1908 to Charles Robert and Mattie Jane (Nee Gose) Woltz.
She attended the Church of God in Cambridge, Pa. and was a volunteer transportation provider for the Rappahannock County Social Services.
She was predeceased by her husband James Arnold Peterson.
Survivors include five sons Robert A. Peterson of Washington, Wayne Peterson of Hedgeville, W.Va., Donald L. Peterson of Virginia Beach, David W. Peterson of Unionville and Daniel M. Peterson of Burke; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Nov. 3 at BlasiusBaker Funeral Home Chapel in Manassas. Burial was in National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
