Ragged Mountain Resource Center presents: “Blue Ridge to the Bay” Speaker Series on Sunday, Aug. 1 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Rappahannock County Library. The program entitled, ‘Terrestrial and Streamside Salamander Monitoring in Shenandoah National Park” will be presented by Robin Jung of Patuxent Wildlife Research Center and fellow staff Chris Addison, Rebecca Holmes, John Whissel and Jennifer Shirk with U.S. Geological Survey Primnet Amphibian Research Crew. All ages are welcome, free admission.
Girls basketball
tryouts planned
JV Girls Basketball try-outs will begin on Aug. 9 at the Rappahannock County High School gym. Tryouts will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11 a.m. All participants must have a completed V.H.S.L. physical. For further information contact Coach Rhonda Jenkins at 675-3083.

New Business: Resolution - Drought Disaster; Resolution - Bust of George Washington; Automobile Lift-Bus Shop and Supplemental Appropriation - Clerk’s Office Imaging Equipment.
There will be no 7 p.m. session for August.
