Also contributing with aggressive play were first-year player Crystal Heflin of Castleton, Meagan Smith and Maarit von Kutzleben, both of Amissville, and Ella Miller, who at age eight is the youngest player on the team.

Most of the starting lineup had a tournament batting average of over .500. This, combined with excellent defensive plays, led to Rappahannock’s 34-21 victory over Madison.

Coached by Tony Kapp of Viewtown, with assistance from Sandy Fletcher and Fred Naramore of Amissville, this team made quite an impression with their ball handling skills, maturity and great attitude.
