The Youth Group of the Washington Baptist Church would like to thank all those who supported the first Biblical Costume Party on Sunday, Oct. 24. Special thanks go to Jean for use of the costumes from the Shepherds Play and for her wonderful ideas on how to create characters with pieces of cloth. Thanks to the Rappahannock News for including the event in last weeks paper. A big hurrah to the mothers who so generously helped put together the scenery and to the actors for their creative ideas and faithful implementation of those ideas. Refreshments were yummy and costumes of some of the audience were outstanding. The cast looked as if they could have stepped out of ancient Israel. Effective portrayal brought Biblical snapshots to life for all to see. Great job guys! We’re looking forward to an even finer event next year. Gretchen Long and Washington Baptist Youth Group
