IMMORTAL SOULS
There are some things that must he taken as matters of faith. During these modern times of scientific inquiry, it may he difficult for some to accept the idea of eternal life without some material proof. Yet for others there is little need of proof. The immortality ol the soul is accepted on the basis of faith. Proof comes from within, with a firm belief about the nature of our spiritual selves. As Jean Jacques Rousseau declared. "Not all the subtleties of metaphysics can make me doubt a moment of the immortality of the soul, and of a beneficent providence. I feel it. I believe it. I desire it. I hope it and will defend it to my last breath." Having faith is not a matter of having all the answers, but it may be that one can trust that there are answers even when none seem apparent.
