otters and eels, borne trails also give spectacular views of area waterfalls. And some trails tell some very interesting stories.
For instance, Hull School Trail was an actual access to Hull School near Old Hollow. Pine Hill Gap trail is near “Hazel Country” where many people lived off the land before being moved out by the park. And 80 house sites were found along the Nicholson Hollow Trail alone, more evidence of people having lived in the area.
If you’re looking for bobcats, your best bet may Broad Hollow Trail and Sam’s Ridge Trail, near Route 681 south of Sperryville. Harris commented that the largest amount of bobcat evidence has been found there.
