• Mayor Willis reported that dift* cussions on the new reservoir willresume after Christmas, and MrJ Critzer reported that substantial! work had been performed by! County Water Systems on the pump! house.
• The Mayor reported that 36 bulbs for the Tbwn's street lights had been purchased from Claudia; Mitchell's company at substantial: savings, and that past problems with the street lights were due to Allegheny Power instabilities. Allegheny Power said that it had identified and repaired the problem, and the Mayor requested that Town Attorney John Bennett assist him in writing a letter to Allegheny Power "putting them on notice."
• The Mayor reported that he and Mitzie Young had attended the County's Emergency Communications Committee meeting, and the committee had concluded that the earlier proposal to replace the existing 80 foot tower with one approaching 180 feet was unwarranted, and alternative proposals will be reviewed at the committee's next meeting on Jan. 5. ' • Mayor Willis noted that Grace Sima had found a Rappahannock News photo of • the Time Capsule plaque, and that the plaque could be replaced at a cost of $375 for stone or $450 for bronze. He said that County Administrator John McCarthy had agreed that thq County could share the expense, and the Council moved to purchase a replacement bronze plaque.
• The Council agreed to Christmas bonuses of $250 for the Town’s two employees, $50 for four trustees, and $25 to the two parttime personnel at the water treatment plant.
