Tom Principato Trio to

perform at Blue Moon

Tom Principato Trio will perform at Blue Moon Cafe, just west of Sperryville. on Saturday, Dec. 23.

Northern Virginia native Principato plays a guitar-centric blends of blues, jazz and roots rock 'n' roll. He's at his best on guitar instrumentals that display his distinctive six-string vocabulary and phraseology.

Whether working out on minor-keyed blues, melodic jump tunes or vigorous country stomps, Principato brings fresh, original ideas to genres that often engender mimicry. He sing well, tQO, but what you'll remember when you walk away from'a Principato show is the man's passion for the guitar.

Principato has been around awhile and shows a whole bunch of influences, ranging form Stevie Ray to Danny Gatton to Eric Johnson. The really nice thing about the playing, though, is he never lets those influences get in the way of his own style. His own identity always shines through.
