By Jan Make la , Volunteer Coordinator i Public School System i • As we enjoy this holiday season, we, as a public school system, are continually reminded of the many things fpr which we are thankful! • Professionally and piarentally speaking, this writejr is tremendously grateful for the spirit of Volunteerism in <>ur community, and specifically within our public schools. Wherever I turn I am confronted by some wonderful volunteer doing some wonderful tiling. ! • Mrs. Amy Gubler, our Gifted/Talented Teacher expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by her volunteer Mrs. Lisa Dodson. "She i6 so organized! I am so glad sjhe is here!"
• Dr. Bill Young and Mr. Ted Chapman volunteered to Help in the Middle School computer Lab at RCES when there was a need, and now students may visit the lab to complete work independently several days a week. ! Mr. George Sharp was (jncountered at a local business and volunteered his services in January! "Joy to the World!"
• Mr. Paul Gall, Mr. Dean Hahn and Mr. Jimmy Swindler have volunteered countless hours to get the Rappahannock County Schools Sports Association off the ground, and with great success we might add. Combine their efforts with the tireless efforts of Nancy and Calvin Atkins, Cheryl Taylor, Lisa and Monty Clinedinst and many others and it is easy to. see why our athletic program is creating such excitement at RCHS this year!
