visit county
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, Jan. 18. Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a Federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration ana Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.
Mrs. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension Office from 2 to 3 p.m.

Spring season
sign-ups to begin
Rappahannock Athletic Association will be conducting their spring season baseball, softball and tee ball sign-ups the first three weekends in February.
Feb. 3 and Feb. 17 sign-ups will be held at Bill Payne Auctions on US 211 in Amissville. On Feb. 10 sign-up will be held at the Rappahannock Library. Times each day will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. ' Fees are $35 for players five to 32 years old; $40 for players 13 to J6 and $50 for girls 17 to 18 Interested in beginning an 18 and under softball team. There is a $5 per child discount for multiple sign-ups from the same family. Players new to RAA in 2001 must bring their birth certificate to present when signing up.
