One of the most delicious aromas is freshly baked bread. It brings to mind a cozy kitchen or the bakery down the street when we were children. We associate love and satisfaction with that wonderful smell. Bread is basic. Without it, even the most exquisite gourmet meal is incomplete.
In John 6:35, our Lord says, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall not hunger." Many of us attempt to satisfy our appetite for happiness with possessions and position. How many of us are left wondering why we still fed that something is missing? How far will we go to fill that hungry place?
We do not have to go far...only to the doors of our local church or synagogue. There we are filled with love and satisfaction. Worship this week. Come to God as you came into that cozy kitchen as a child...expecting something wonderful. You won't be disappointed.
