sickness could only muster seven girls, several of those less than 100 percent, when the team traveled to Strasburg High School for a match on Friday, Jan. 12.
The girls played great to start, winning the first game 15 to 5. "They just ran out of gas." That was the expression one spectator used after the game. The Strasburg girls came back and won the next two games to take the match. The Junior Varsity Lady Panthers never saw what hit them. They lost 15 to 7 and 151 and the match was over before they could serve around the second game.
The volleyball teams see action this week against District leading Clarke County with a double header away and home on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 19 and 20. Game times are listed in upcoming events.
