PTO meeting scheduled

On Friday, Jan. 19 PTO will have its next monthly meeting in the Rappahannock County Elementary School cafeteria. Babysitting is provided at the meeting.

All school parents, teachers and any others desiring involvement at the elementary school are welcome to attend. At 6 p.m. there will be a potluck dinner with the meeting from 7 to 8 p.m.

RHAC hosts library series

The Rappahannock Healing Arts Center will host a free "Winter Wellness Series" beginning Friday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at Rappahannock Library on US 211 in Washington. A panel discussion and question/answer format with RHAC practitioners will open the series from 7 to 8 p.m., offering an overview of complimentary health care and philosophical foundations of various modalities offered locally.

"Introduction to Herbal Education" will be presented from 8 to 9 p.m. by Kathleen Maier, national speaker and co-founder of Dreamtime Center for Herbal Studies. Learn why mainstream medical associations support the use of complimentary health care as a way to maintain health and assist in the healing process of illness.

Yoga with Lilo

Do you want to be more flexible and feel better physically as well as mentally? Join us. Yoga with Lilo will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 675-3584 for more information.
