New town reservoir

Mr. Bennett reviewed a draft agreement between the Town and the Berrys and Parsons, in which the Berrys offer an easement for the construction and installation of a 200,000 reservoir, piping and rights of way, the Parsons offer an easement for rights of way and a berm and, in exchange, the Berrys are granted title to a two acre parcel that the Town presently owns.

Construction of the reservoir is required to be completed within three years of the date of execution erf the agreement.

The grantors have the right to accept final construction details, and some concern was expressed that they do so before an agreement is signed. Mayor Willis then sought and received Council okay to expend up to $10,000 for detailed drawings to be used to obtain approval of construction plans before the agreement is signed.
