The Macedonia Baptist Church has a rich legacy of Christian charity, witness and service. Rev. Donald E. Simpkins of Woodbridge will assume pastorship at Macedonia on Jan. 28.
Founded by the Rev. Thornton Hill and two members from the Battle Run Church, it was later organized the third Sunday in July 1865 by the Rev. George Horner, the church's first pastor.
