PUBLIC HEARING

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, Culpeper, Virginia, provides transportation services tor the elderly and disabled within Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison. Rappahannock, and Orange. These services transport individuals to and from rehabilitation programs, outpatient services, meal programs, and other programs operated by the RRCSB and private providers. Funds are being requested from the Commonwealth of Virginia to purchase five (5) replacement vehicles through the FTA Section 5310 Program. These vehicles will be utilized to maintain existing services and replace vehicles in the current fleet with an excess of 150,000 miles. We invite any interested public or private transit or paratransit operator within the Planning District 9 area to comment on the proposed services by sending a written notice by February 28, 2001 to Mr. NeilSherman, Department of Rail and Public Transportation, P.O. Box 590, Richmond, Virginia 23218-0590 and to the Attention of the Executive Director, RRCSB, P.O. Box 1568, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
