While respecting the presumption of innocence
for those charged, the report of the arrests in the Montpelier investigation is good news for everyone in Rappahannock concerned with the preservation of our built history.
In no small part, the success of the criminal investigation is attributable to the response of our community to this senseless and vicious attack on one of our most historically important structures.
We spoke with one voice to let everyone know we were serious about protecting our history and apprehending those who would destroy it. >
