forcing the skills with sixth and seventh graders after school. This co-operative effort will be a wonderful boost to the RCHS volleyball program in just a few years. Hats off to these two teachers for their initiative in promoting these "feeder program" skills!

• Last weekend several students-musicians in our RCHS and Middle School Bands had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Honors Band programs at VPI. Band Director Mrs. Lynn Fournier and parents Mrs. Brenda Powell and Mrs. Fay Smoot accompanied the students. Congratulations to these very talented students who went above and beyond the call of duty as they played their hearts out in their respective sections: Morgan Blubaugh, Samantha Breeden, Nicole Hess, Kelsey Hutcheson, Holly Long, Lauren Powell (who made First Chair in her section), Brandan Smoot, Jenny Starr and Joaimee Williams. We are very proud of the accomplishments of them all!
