Lillian A. Curtis, 93, of Maryland, died Saturday, Jan. 13 at Arlington Hospital.
^Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Phillip Walker officiating.
Miss Curtis was bom in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Wilbert C. Curtis and Lucy Lockheart Scott Curtis.
She was retired from the Washington D.C. Chamber of Commerce.

Nettie Thomas

Nettie Florence Thomas, 86, of Orange died Friday, Jan. 19 at the Orange County Nursing Home.
Born April 17, 1914 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late May Collier and Louisa Conley Collier.
She was a member of the Orange Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Stringfellow of Amissville and Louise Johnson of Louisa; two sons, Edgar Thomas or Orange and Cleve Thomas of Amissville; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her best friend Evelyn Phipps.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Chesley Thomas; a daughter, Mary Shipp; five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were conducted on Jan. 22 at the Preddy Funeral Chapel in Orange by the Rev. Sheldon Nierman. Burial was in Mt. Paran Cemetery in Greene County.
