Ralph H. Rowzie of Amissville , now associated with Tom Frost in Warrenton, has recently completed a course at Mercury School, held at the Marriott Motel in Arlington. Mr. Rowzie is a representative for Ford-Mercury and is now fully qualified to render assistance to people of this area. The boys' varsity and the junior varsity both lost the games Tuesday night with Madison on the Madison court. The varsity was defeated by only two points in a tit-for-tat game, ending with a final score of 49 to 51. A technical foul was called against the Panthers. Madison made both shots to edge out in front by a nose. Johnnie Atkins was high scorer for Rappahannock. Mr. and Mrs. Merritt A. Greeley of Chester Gap will be in Chappaqua, N.Y. on Feb. 3 to participate in the Greeley Day ceremonies celebrating the first day issue of the four cent "Famous American” postage stamp in honor of Horace Greeley. Mr. M.A. Greeley is the great-great grandson of Horace Greeley's father and the closest living relative of the famous editor.

Russie Miller of Flint Hill brought Rappahannock closer to its goal in the fund drive for a regional 4-H Center with the $100 donation she gave to Extension Agent Brigitt Thornhill on Tuesday. The center is currently being built near Front Royal just over the mountain from Chester Gap. Mrs. Earl Yancey of Viewtown and Mrs. Virginia Cloud of Washington have been named Chairmen of the 1981 American Heart
