Dorothy Lee Arrington, 80, of Alexandria, formerly of Front Royal, died Thursday, Jan. 18 at Woodbine Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Alexandria.
She was born Jan. 28, 1920 in Front Royal, a daughter of the late James HarVey Saffell and Elizabeth S. Saffell Compton.
Mrs. Arrington was a housewife and a waitress for various catering companies.
Survivors include two sons, Roynal E. Seymour Jr. of Arlington and Garland Seymour of Front Royal and a daughter Sandra Jenkins of Flint Hill.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Dorsey L. Mathews and Helen C. Baker, both of Front Royal; two brothers, Robert Lynnwood Saffell of Martinsburg, West Va. and Richard James Saffell of Fredericksburg.
She is also survived by one grandchild Mark Jenkins of Front Royal and two greatgrandchildren, Kaitlyn Jenkins and Gavin Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Francis Saffell and Edward Saffell.
Memorial services were held at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. . Burial was held at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Edward Palmer
Former FBI Agent
Edward Croswell Palmer, 77, of Bethesda, Md. and parttime resident of Washington, Va., a former FBI Special Agent, died in Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. on Jan. 15, 2001, from heart failure.
Born in Washington, D.G, Mr. Palmer lived most of his life in Chevy Chase and Bethesda. He was a graduate of Strayer College in Washington, D.C., majoring in accounting.
