Yale Russian
Chorus coming
to Theatre
The Yale Russian Chorus, an all-male a capella choral ensemble, will give a concert at the Theatre at Washington, Va., on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. The Chorus specializes in sacred and secular Slavic music.
Founded in 1953, the Chorus is made up of Yale University students and community residents from a variety of academic and professional disciplines.

“Tidal Wave of Song,” the children’s music CD written by Rappahannock County elementary school kids with songwriter Paul Reisler and Recorded by over 30 of the County’s professional musicians, has been selling well at area retailers, according to Kid Pan Alley Project Coordinator Amy Silver.
The CD is also on sale at record stores in Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg and Richmond. Plow & Hearth is carrying “Tidal Wave” at its retail stores in the Charlottesville area, dnd sales have been reported as well by web sites such as Amazon and CD Baby.
Kid Pan Alley is offering a 20 percent discount off the regular rjBtail price of $15 to people who yvish to purchase the CD in quantities of 10 or more for the holidays. CDs in bulk quantities at the discounted price of $12 «ach are available at Rappahannock Elementary School, at Talk of the Town in Washington, Central Coffee Roasters in Sperryville, and Hearthstone School west of Sperryville.
