The adult 4-H Volunteer Leaders received years of service pins and a gift of thanks made by local glassblower Eric Kvarnes.
Receiving their first year leaders pins were Holly Massie, Dr. Derek Vandrejr, Michael Besecker, Stanley Dye, Elaine Kramer, Eileen Kelly and Doris Sealock. Second year pins went to Roger Andrews, Hazel Gray and Vickie Miller.
Third year 4-H Volunteer leader pins went to Debbie Massie and Guy Thorpe. Fourth year leaders pins went to Becky Thorpe, Shannon Swain, Elizabeth Johns, Lisa Reid and Kim Nelson. Fifth year silver clover award went to Sally Havstad, Sue Garvin and Evelyn Oyster, and a seventh year pin went to Bill Welch.
Eight-year pins went to Carolyn Emerick, Kevin Day, Candy Lamma, Charlotte Nichols and Lisa Pendleton. Ninth year pirls went to Jim Massie and Diana Corbin.
Pins for sixteen years of volunteering in the Rappahannock County 4-H
program were earned ^y Jennifer Gray and Toni Updike. Seventeen year volunteer recognition went to Cheryl Taylor. *t
Randall Updike has volunteered in the Rappahannock County 4-H Program for 21 years, and we are all very grateful to Randall for giving of his talents and time to the youth t>f our community.
The 4-H Achievement Night program ended with the candlelight initiation ceremony for the new 4-H Honor Club members.
Newly initiated members were Allison Antony, Anne Ashleigh Lamma, Dylan Corbin, Devin Day, Lauren Kaye, Tommy Pendleton and Brittany Thorpe. Being invited to join the 4-H Honor Club means that you have excelled in the 4-H prograpi for two years. i
