Town Police, who had retired last year, passed away at his home Friday evening, after losing his battle with cancer and we send condolences to his wife, Fay and family members.
Quite a number of our area residents attended the “Singing and Pickin” party at Salem Fire Hall Friday evening and according to a spokesperson, a large crowd was present as they enjoyed the picking and singing and as always great food by the fire department.
In our wishes to be extended for those having birthdays for the beginning of December, we remember Presley Cubbage Wednesday, Dec. 5, Miss Margie Lee Williams on Thursday, Dec. 6, Dee Williams on Friday, Dec. 7, and come Monday, Dec. 10 Jeff Peyton and Darren Tharp celebrate and on Tuesday, Dec. 11 Mrs. Lillian Norman has her day. Our Lord’s blessings on each of you.
Castleton Fire Department continues their shooting matches each Friday evening at the fire hall beginning at 7 p.m.
