I thought the county
Planning Commission meetings would return to their normal boring sessions after the final decision on the cell towers, that decision only covers from Amissville to Washington along US 211 and from Massie’s Corner to the county line at Chester Gap along Route 522. Sperryville, Woodville and Castleton do not have coverage. If the county had accepted Sprint’s original proposal all of the county would have had coverage.
I went to the Planning meeting on Nov. 14. There were three issues to be considered: 1. An application for a new church; 2. Lighting Ordinance; and 3. Storing and application of sludge.
In order to be prepared to attend the public hearing, I obtained a copy of both ordinances from county Administrator McCarthy’s office.
The Lighting Ordinance consists of eight pages and the Sludge Ordinance consists of 19 pages.
