outside light fixture? In the end your light belongs to Rappahannock County because you will have to replace it with a fixture in compliance with this ordinance.
Also, the Amissville citizens (approximately 150) signed a petition which reads as follows:
We the undersigned residents of Jackson District oppose the enactment of any type of county lighting ordinance at this time. Further more, the Amissville area community association does not represent us on any county issues.
This petition was completely ignored by the planners of the county.
It is a shame that probably 99 percent of the citizens will not see the actual lighting ordinance before the Board of Supervisors’ meeting (which was held Dec. 3). Copies of the Lighting Ordinance are available at County Administrator’s Office, Mayhugh’s Store and Hackley’s Store if you wish to read it. If you want a copy both stores have copy machines.
