E. David Gheen

Mechanic

E. David Gheen, 84. of Amissville, formerly of Vienna, died on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at his residence.

He was bom Sept. 15, 1917 in Vienna, the son of the late Ernest Wilmer and Amy Elliott Denison Gheen.

He was an automobile mechanic for 75 years. He was a member of the St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Annandale, where he was a charter member. Mr. Gheen was an usher at the church for 42 years.

He was married to Dora Louise Cleveland Gheen, who died April 28. 2001.

He is survived by four sons, Ernest Gheen of Fredericksburg, William Gheen of Marshall, Raymond Gheen and Ralph Gheen, both of Amissville; three daughters, Geneva Neal of Rochelle, Thelma Aylor of Amissville and Faith Gheen of Catlett; a brother, John Gheen of Great Falls; one sister, Helen Earma of Vienna; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 1 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Annandale with Rev. Wesley Arthur Sr., Rev. Russell Urban and Rev. Kenneth Jackson officiating.

Interment was in National Memorial Park in Falls Church.

Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna was in charge of the arrangements.

James Peyton

James Richard Peyton, 48, of Amissville died Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Fauquier Hospital in Warren ton.

He was born Feb. 23, 1953 in Rappahannock County, a son of the late Edward Hamilton Peyton and Vergie Lee Whorton Peyton.

He is survived by one brother, George Peyton of Amissville and six sisters, Catherine Blevins of Culpeper, Shirley Compton, Virginia Stringfellow and Ethel Peyton, all of Amissville, Anna Compton of Rixeyville and Margie Sheffield of Viewtown.

Additional survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
