The newest member of the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center is Barbara Elliott, L.M.T., C.I.Y.T., who brings to the center yoga therapy as one of the many healing modalities offered there.
Ms. Elliott has recently relocated to Madison County from Boca Grande, Fla. She was a yoga instructor and massage therapist at the Gasparilla Iim, the Boca Grande Community Center, and many other centers and homes in the area.
Certified in yoga therapy in 1995 (Integrative Yoga Therapy, Galenta, Calif.), she began teaching gentle, beginning and intermediate classes. Before long, therapeutic sessions and classes such as stress management, specific sports, strength building, osteoporosis and the yogic energy system became an integral part of her public and private practice.
Ms. Elliott also helps her students design their own personal practices and helps support their healing processes
