Music teachers and students of music, mark your calendars now.

The Rappahannock County Lions Club Bland Music event will be held on Sunday, Feb.23 at 2 p.m. at The Theatre on Gay Street in Washington.

This musical event is open to all students who attend school in Rappahannock County or are home schooled here.

This function is divided into vocal and instrumental divisions, with prize dollars being given to the top three winners in each of the divisions.

Applications for the contest need to be picked up for details of the contest.

These forms can be picked up at the following locations: Rappahannock County Library: Rappahannock County High School (office); Rappahannock County Elementary School (office) and Wakefield Country Day School.
