I’m not the best birdwatcher. I often don’t see birds until they’re flying away from me. Part of this is probably because of my dislike of wearing glasses (which I need for my astigmatism) when I hike. Also, much like my dog, who belongs to a herding breed, I seem to have a hard time focusing on what is still but catch movement easily.
