The Rappahannock Rescue Squad met Jan. 2 at the fire house with 13 members present and Capt. Frank Huff presiding. The new ambulance arrived on Dec. 17 and volunteers immediately installed the emergency equipment which consists of necessary first aid supplies to meet any emergency. The first service call was Dec. 26.
The 1960 report of the Commission on Public Education to Gov. J. Lindsay Almond is being looked forward to with much interest by teachers and those interested in Virginia schools, as the 1 report submitted to the governor on the work done by the committee during 1959 did not indude reports of elementary education. The study was confined mostly to the High School.
Now with the holidays over, many homemakers have found the scales are weighing too heavy. The Extension Service in cooperation with the Health Department has planned a Weight Control Program for interested persons. The group will meet every two weeks for four months. «
Pvt. Jimmy Sealock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sealock, of Chester Gap left Tuesday for Camp Roberts, Calif., after spending a twoweek leave with his parents.
