through its season undefeated picking up a 2-1 win over Stonewall Jackson and a 2-0 win over Page County. The team had to rally twice against Stonewall as they fell behind in the first game only to have Rachel Sharp serve seven consecutive service points as the Panthers took game one.
The team could not hold on in the second game as Stonewall evened the match at 1-1. The Panthers behind Rachel Sharp and Brittany Thornhill pulled away in the third game, after trailing early in the game, to post the win.
The team was 4-0 entering the holidays. They played in the Madison Mountaineer Classic at 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 30. The results of this game and the one on Dec. 28 with the wrestling team at McLean High will be published next week.
