Choral concerts
“Let Freedom Ring" is the theme of the annual spring concerts by the Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society, the Madison Choral Society and the Madison County High School Band on May 2 and 3. The concerts feature Randall Thompson’s “A Testament of Freedom”, a work commissioned to honor the 200th anniversary of Thomas Jefferson’s birth. The music . has been set to words originally written by Jefferson himself in letters to various friends. Performances are on Friday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Chapel at Woodberry Forest School in Madison County and Saturday, May 3 at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 West Street in Culpeper. Both are free.
Gerhard show extended
The Packing Shed Gallery has extended the exhibition “From Hughes River Farm: New Paintings” by Hans Wolfram Gerhard through May 5. The gallery is located on the corner of Gay and Porter Streets in Little Washington. Gallery hours are Thursday through'Monday, 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 675-3410.

Trinity Episcopal Church is launching a new discussion group called “Spirituality Series." Participants will discuss spiritual topics led by rotating discussion leaders. Lucy Oliver , wiU lead the first topic, “Prayer,” on Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Sunday school and nursery services will be provided.
Garden week in Virginia
The Garden Club of Warren County will hold its 70th annual hqyse and garden tour on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 635-3411. Tickets, $12 in advance, are available at the Chamber of Commerce.
'SpringEvent’ on April 26
* . The Washington Baptist Church will hold its annual “Spring Event Fundraiser” on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to l.p.m. at the same time as the Fodderstack 10K Race. There will be a huge yard sale inside the church Fellowship Halt and a bake sale and hot dog/hamburger lunch on the courthouse grounds. To donate items for the sale, contact the , church office at 675-3336. Proceeds go toward the church building fund. Everyone is invited.
Beginning weaving class
