Barbara Clark Wayland 49, of Sperryville, died on April 16 at the University ofVirginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was bom July 15, 1953 in Rappahannock County to the late John Marshall Clark and the late Annie Irene Pullen Clark.
Mrs. Wayland worked as the Executive Editor and General Manager of the Rappahannock News.
She is survived by her husband, William T. Wayland and a daughter, Tiffany Anne Wayland, both of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include one brother, John M. Clark Jr. of Washington, four sisters, Betty Pullen of Washington, Shirley Baldwin of Pinnacle, N.C., Rhonda Almarode of Strasburg, and Maxie Davis of Culpeper.
A graveside service was held April 19 at the Wayland family cemetery near Sperryville with Pastor Merlin Shorb officiating.

Donalea Marianna Monteleone, 48, of Sperryville died April 19 at her residence.
She was bom in Brooklyn, N Y. She was raised in Belleville, N. J. by Charles and Lucietta Monteleone.
Ms. Monteleone was the mother of Tfessa Rose, Lacey, and Pierce. Their father, Bill Adams resides in Charlottesville. She is also remembered by her friend and companion, Joe Wilson.
For the past six years, Ms. Monteleone was a part of the Oasis CD duplication family.
