This Saturday the Fodderstack Road between Flint Hill and Washington will again be the site of the annual Fodderstack 10K Race. In this 15th running of the race, Jean Lillard, one of the organizers, is hoping for a good turnout. About 110 had pre-registered by last weekend.
County administrator John McCarthy has presented the Board of Supervisors with an estimate of $73.50 per ton to continue to operate a landfill at the current landfill site.
The Board of Supervisors got its first look at the proposed $8.6 million county budget for the coming year this week. The budget is up , nearly $767,000 or 9.8 percent over the current budget.
